We are the Investigators of Paranormal Occurances (IPO). Founded in 1994 under the name Supernatural Investigation and Ghost Hunting (SIGH), Dr. Angela Sycamore, Jane Stone, and Amanda Sloan created this organization to push paranormal research into the forefront of the scientific community.
Our focus is on researching and containing specifically paranormal entities. Since our founding, scientific research and understanding has been a core part of what we do. Our hope is to never eradicate paranormalities, but to instead learn how they work and how to live with them.
Our current team is made up of two of the original founders, Amanda Stone and Jane Sloan, as well as Dr. Hannah Jensen, a handful of rotating researchers, and three junior investigators. Despite our small team, we make it a point to reach out and collaborate with other organizations when possible. We have had several members of the Youth Investigating Paranormal Entities and Events (YIPEE) intern and work with us and we are thrilled to watch the parapsychology field grow every day.

Doctor Angela Sycamore helped found IPO in 1994 after finishing her doctorate program. Dr. Sycamore's research within the field has led to massive strides within both Parapsychology and Cryptozoology. She has worked closely with other foundations in order to secure and contain anomalies, as well as protect both the public from dangerous entities, as well as protecting docile cryptids from human interferance.
Parapsychologist Jane Stone helped found IPO after finishing her BS in Parapsychology. From her start in the Parapsychology field, Jane has been interested in understanding what happens after we die. Her focus within the field is understandng what happens after death, and furthermore, what happens when paranormal entities are put to rest.
Cryptozoologist Amanda Sloan helped found IPO afer finishing her BS in Cryptozoology with a minor in Parapsychology. Though her interests may differ slightly from those Jane Stone and Dr. Sycamore, her focus is on understanding the more dangerous cryptids and anomalies. What she loves most about this job is collaborating with other research organizations and inspiring young investigators to be curious and question what they know about the field.
